The Maryland Freedom Caucus thanks Trent Kittleman for her endorsement. "Republicans are both political and personal conservatives. That makes it difficult for most of us to employ the dramatic tactics democrats use to get press coverage"
She continued in The Baltimore Sun, "During Gov. Larry Hogan‘s second term, I was frustrated that he didn’t take full advantage of his bully pulpit. He missed the rare opportunity to grow Maryland’s Republican Party."

On her website, Kittleman called the current state of special education in Howard County Schools dysfunctional and called for the removal of identity politics and political ideologies. She also called for grades to be based on merit instead of equity.
Kittleman purportedly intended to start a chapter of Moms for Liberty after leaving office. But, her plans apparently came to a halt ahead of her decision to run for a School Board seat in 2024, when she asked to be removed from published by Moms for Liberty. She said to Baltimore Fishbowl, "I saw they were being called a terrorist group. You can’t get associated with that."
Moms for Liberty is not a "terrorist group." In 2023, The Southern Poverty Law Center named Moms for Liberty an anti-government extremist group. It's different.
We at the Maryland Freedom blog admire Kittleman's consistency. With or without the label, she maintains her unrelenting alignment with Moms for Liberty, who also opposes identity politics and supports merit in public schools. Lisa Geraghty, the chapter chair of Moms for Liberty in Howard County, said “I don’t think she wants to be associated with Moms for Liberty, [...] But her palm card is everything we believe.”

Despite her efforts to give parents a voice, Kittleman was personally persecuted and labeled an extremist herself by the Maryland Democratic Party in an unprecedented move by them to support woke school board candidates, and persecute the ones they deem extremists.
Because the Democrats forced their politics into a non-partisan election, Kittleman was robbed of her chance in the school board race. One of the Democrats' reasons for calling Kittleman "extreme" was because while she was still in the Maryland General Assembly, she voted against anti-discrimination laws in schools.
Of course, we at the Maryland Freedom Blog don't think this is a big deal and we stand with Kittleman! After all, most Maryland Freedom Caucus members also voted against that lousy anti-discrimination bill including Brian Chisolm, Mark Fisher, Robin Grammer, Matt Morgan, and Kathy Szeliga.
When you don't see color, it's hard to see how such laws are even needed. This is also why there is no need to recognize Ruby Bridges Walk to School day, which the majority of Maryland Freedom Caucus members also voted against in the 2025 session.
Trent Kittleman truly is a political and personal conservative, as well a martyr. In the wake of two consecutive hard losses it is clear Kittleman understood the fear that so many Republicans felt. We know she would have taken advantage of her bully pulpit, or used dramatic tactics to get media coverage, if it weren't for those meddling Democrats!
But, Maryland Red Dots can trust the members of The Maryland Freedom Caucus to take full advantage of their bully pulpit - This opportunity to grow Maryland's Republican party will not be missed!

Given what was essentially a crucifixion of Trent Kittleman by the crooked media, we know the risk she is taking by publicly declaring support of the Maryland Freedom Caucus. Should she ever need to rescind it, we still trust her palm card is everything The Maryland Freedom Caucus believes!
Nonetheless, The Maryland Freedom Caucus expresses gratitude for Kittleman's willing association.
